To a bike instructor, the worst student is a know-it-all.
As a bike instructor, like all bike coaches, we want to know if you are coachable first. So, when seeking bicycle instruction be ready to learn. First, you seek out a highly qualified bike instructor who is an authority certified in bicycle instruction. Then, present yourself as a ready and willing student to get the most out of your bike instruction.
Okay, so you already know how to ride a bike and that you should probably wear a helmet. However, there is more to it if you ride on the road or trails.

Who Needs a Bike Instructor?
So you know how to pedal a stationary bicycle and ride around the neighborhood. Ask yourself:
- Do you know all you need to feel comfortable and safely ride a bike in traffic?
- Do you know enough to teach your children to ride cautiously and visibly?
- When you drive a car, are you confident on the road with people on bikes?

Debra has gone above and beyond anything that she is required to do, and does so willingly because she genuinely cares, even for people out of state she just met. If you have the opportunity to take a cycling class in Nevada, I wouldn’t fool around. Get in Debra’s class it is so worth it (and the view in her backyard doesn’t hurt either)!

I initially thought I was just going to a cycling class, just for a certification what I didn’t expect was to forge a lifelong friendship. We rode bicycles for miles on end on trails all over Henderson and I hadn’t been on a bike since I was a kid. I loved it! She’s a great instructor who helps everyone, no matter your level of expertise, especially novices who are not athletes like I was! I’m a proud bike owner now. I’m also very proud of what she does for others and congratulate her on all her amazing achievements.
