DIY sleds for home use

Recently, a follower on my Reddit subcommunity r/tireandrope sees my sled video and asks about a DIY version. So, I suggested using an old tire and loading it to drag by a rope. Then, it dawned on me that my first push sled–long since retired and replaced by commercial sleds, was simply an old shopping cart frame with wheels intact.

We called it the “bear” cart because it was so low you had to assume the classic bear crawl position. This targets back and core muscles so you push a short distance before having to catch breath. Clients loved my old bear carts and people would find them in the desert and bring them to the workouts. Just a happy memory of people so easily entertained with the push-pull sled party concept. Everyone loves having their backside kicked by their own efforts!
