Spring Break Fitness Retreat was Dad’s idea as he knew his daughter deserved more from fitness.
Spring Break Fitness Retreat started out with this hard-working and accomplished athlete weighing over twice her ideal body weight. Since adolescence, Karen made all the right moves to attain and maintain her status as a full-ride college tennis player. However, her eating habits denied her the appearance she deserved for her athletic endeavors.
Going long periods without proper nutrition and then making up for the deficit too late in the day can add the pounds. The problem pattern was too much for her to break on her own.
Her dad knew she was shortchanging herself with bad eating habits that sabotaged her goals to control the scales. We agreed that this young woman needed to set herself on course as she headed into adulthood and the job market. During her visit with me, I was amazed at how she took charge in the kitchen asking all the right questions and making all the right choices. From the grocery store to the meal preparations, Karen and her sister Kristin set up new behavioral patterns that got results right away.
It’s easy when you make the right choices and continue to apply them each and every day. Of course, there will be some special occasions and some moments of indiscretion. However, it is the most regular and consistent pattern that will determine whether you gain or lose unwanted pounds.
The sunny weather in southern Nevada makes spring a great time for outdoor workouts. Getting sunlight is uplifting to the mood, brightens the spirit and you return home looking fit and tan.
With this success, there is no doubt in Karen’s mind that she will complete her goal over the rest of the summer. Just look at the difference in her face as she smiles with the knowledge that she is now in control!
