WHO’S OFFERING THIS? League of American Bicyclists Instructor, Debra Stefan

WHAT: Smart Cycling Basics and Bike Ride; one-third to one-half classroom time, ride round trip route.

WHERE: Chimera Pavilion is the classroom setting for the educational segment, then the out-and-back ride returns for an optional social opportunity at Slice 19 and a great after-ride menu.

WHEN: 9:30-12:30 Pre-register for two Saturdays March 23, & 30th 2019

COST: $97 payable to Debra Stefan Fitness; pre-registration is required and space is limited

WHAT’S INCLUDED: Bike education and supervised ride

WHAT WILL I LEARN? The Smart Cycling curriculum is designed to develop awareness, technique and safety skills. Students will learn about choosing a bicycle, basic parts of a bike, essential equipment, as well as how to safely and comfortably ride a bike in various traffic conditions, terrain and climates. Students are eligible to join bike ride club on local routes led by League Certified Instructor, Debra Stefan. All club rides are covered under the League’s insurance. Qualified participants will already have the basic ability to ride a bike. Personal bike training is available on a limited basis for those who want to learn how to ride a bike Adult Bicycling Lessons Teach You To Ride A Bike | Debra Stefan, LCI. This course will not be for those under 18 years of age unless accompanied by a parent and at least fourteen years old.

BICYCLE RENTAL RATE: $48 is the special all-day rate payable to River Mountains Bike Shop. Must mention “Debra’s Ride”.

Smart Cycling is by the League of American Bicyclists for cyclists to ride safely and effectively on roadways or bike paths with confidence. Classes are for people who want to become well-versed in safe biking on the road and bike paths.

Class duration and location access: Smart Cycling Intro is a 3-hour class meeting in the Pavilion at Chimera Golf Course, a public place inside the private guard-gated village of Tuscany. Just tell the gate security that you are going to Chimera Golf Club.
